My Background

I am an elementary educator in NYC. I have a Master’s in Elementary Mathematics as a Math Specialist, and another in Curriculum Design.

I have had the pleasure of working in multiple school settings across the city for the last decade, as both a classroom teacher and a math coach. That experience has provided me with a panoramic view of the needs of students, teachers, families, and school administrators in math education.

My Philosophy

The core of my philosophy is that math is a verb, a language, and a process that is all around us. Developing students’ conceptual understanding and skills-based knowledge of math through interactive experiential learning is key. Differentiating those experiences so that all students have access, and can grow according to their learning needs and goals, is my approach to teaching math in the classroom -- both physical and virtual.
